29 June 2023

One of Britain’s leading housing developers attended the Newquay Careers Fair to speak with students about their future.
The event was attended by over 30 business from various sectors, with round 600 students invited to help them collect as much information as possible to make the next best step for their future careers.
Building over 13,500 beautifully-designed new homes a year in more than 350 prime locations nationwide, Persimmon is proud to be one of the UK’s most successful house-builders, committed to the highest standards of design, construction and service.
The Five Star Builder prides itself on its homes being priced 20 per cent below the national average, opening the opportunity of homeownership to thousands of families every year who might otherwise not be able to afford it.
Persimmon Homes Regional Apprentices Manager Andrew Wallis, who was at the fair, said:
“It was a delight to attend the Career Fair and have lots of conversations about the opportunities that are available with Persimmon Homes and the constructions sector in general.
“Many of the young people were not aware of the amazing career opportunities that are available on their doorstep in Cornwall, whether they were interested in more practical areas, such as bricklaying and carpentry, or technical areas like architecture, so it was a great chance to showcase where their lives could lead if they choose to work with in the industry in future.”
