Persimmon Midlands Managing Director raises over £74,000 ahead of London Marathon
15 April 2024
The MD for Persimmon Midlands is running the London Marathon to raise funds for The Brain Tumour charity. Zac Hurst is running the gruelling 26.2 miles to support the fundraising efforts of a charity which is close to his heart.
Sadly, Zac lost his cousin Jack to the disease back in 2020 after a 10-year battle. He saw first-hand the amazing work of the charity and therefore felt compelled to take on the challenge and raise much needed funds for the charity to continue their work.
As well as managing his training schedule, Zac has undertaken a series of events and has so far raised a staggering £74,100, with Persimmon contributing £15,000 towards this total amount.
Commenting on the upcoming challenge, Zac said: “The work undertaken by the Brain Tumour Charity is invaluable to those people who need their support. I decided to undertake this challenge to not only raise these funds but also in memory of my cousin. I have been training hard and am hopeful I will be able to complete the challenge before raising a glass to my Jack.”
