Persimmon Homes West Wales has been praised for addressing the needs of the Pembrokeshire economy after it opened its new development in Milford Haven.
Persimmon Homes’ exclusive Milford Haven housing development has been praised for ‘addressing the needs of Pembrokeshire’s economy’ after it was officially opened to the public on Friday.
Deputy mayor, councillor Guy Woodham, cut the ribbon at Persimmon’s 168 home Fairways housing scheme and immediately endorsed it for sharing the principles of the town’s regeneration group, which he chairs.
Addressing a number of Persimmon’s directors, its sales team and invited guests from the area, Cllr Woodham said the development offered a great deal of hope for everyone.
He said: “We have had discussions about this development for a long time from the planning committee stage.
“We have a mixed economy here and it is important that the needs of everybody are addressed. We need to be inclusive to all, which is why the social housing provision of this development is as important as the range of beautiful homes for others.
“I can see that we can work together with Persimmon to promote Milford Haven as a desirable place to be. We want to lift the spirits and move the town forward, so I am really delighted to see so many positives in a development like this.”
The Fairways features a range of one to four-bedroom properties and consists of 11 property designs, ensuring that every family size and need is catered for.
Homes include fully fitted kitchens with a choice of doors and laminate worktops, along with white bathroom suites and chrome fittings.
Persimmon Homes West Wales’ director in charge Andy Baker-Edwards said: “Our Fairways development is our second in Pembrokeshire and has been on the drawing board for some time.
“I’m so pleased to see us make so much progress and it is great to be here. The community is the key for us. This is our first venture into Milford Haven and it is important to forge relationships with the community, through our commitment to local charities and organisations.
“We are aware that there has never been a housing developer of our size in Milford Haven before, so we will be doing all we can to immerse ourselves into the community from now on.
“Our shared equity and part exchange schemes will also allow more people the chance to get on the property ladder with us, so we are extremely excited to be situated here.”
