Persimmon sponsors Workington Skills fair

Last week (5th-11th February) was National Apprenticeship Week in England and Wales. We’re proud to have acted as a main sponsor of the Workington Skills Fair, now in its second year.

Organised by MP for Workington Mark Jenkinson, this year’s event was also attended by Secretary of State for Education Gillian Keegan.

The event brings businesses from across Cumbria together to meet with students and young people looking to take the next steps on their learning and career journeys.

The event was timed to coincide with National Apprenticeship Week in England and Wales, which aims to shine a light on the difference that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.
