Peter rabbit pops up at the Bridleways, Nottingham
23 November 2010
When first time buyers Laura Walters and Bryan Woolley moved into their new home at Persimmon Homes North Midlands Bridleways development in Giltbrook there was one character they weren’t expecting to see, Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit.
As a surprise for the couple who had celebrated the birth of their first son, baby Brooklyn, just a month before they moved in, the team at Persimmon North Midlands gave them a present to remember by decorating the nursery in a Peter Rabbit theme.
Laura comments; “We had no idea that Persimmon were planning to decorate the nursery so when we moved in it was a really lovely surprise. We’re extremely grateful for the gesture.”
Laura and her partner Bryan bought their three-bedroom house through the HomeBuy Direct shared equity scheme that is currently being offered at Bridleways. Designed to assist first time buyers in entering the property market, the shared equity scheme makes buying more affordable as purchasers are only initially required to pay 85 per cent of the purchase price.
Laura adds; “We’d had our hearts set on buying a three bedroom house ever since we started looking and buying through HomeBuy Direct certainly made it a lot easier for us as it meant we didn’t need to raise such a large deposit.”
