Playground upgrade a step closer thanks to new donation
22 November 2022

Pupils and parents at a Dunfermline primary school are celebrating after receiving a £1,000 donation from North Scotland.
Duloch Parent Council has been raising funds to upgrade the school playground to create a fun, interactive play area that enhances children’s development.
Improvements so far have included a popular new trim trail obstacle course and the focus now is on adding educational equipment, including musical instruments and activity boards for the playground for pupils to use during lessons and at playtime.
The new funding boost has been delivered through our Community Champions programme, which sees up to £64,000 donated to good causes across the UK every month.
Lisa Bertram, Duloch PC Chairperson, said:
"On behalf of the parents and pupils, I would like to thank Persimmon for their kind donation through the Community Champions scheme.
“This money will go towards the playground improvement programme that the Parent Council, children and school staff have been fundraising for and will enable us to purchase more resources and equipment for the children to enhance their play and development further."
James MacKay, North Scotland Managing Director, said:
“Our Community Champions scheme is all about investing in the communities where we build, so I’m delighted we’re able to support pupils and parents at Duloch Primary School with their playground project.
“The Parent Council has done a great job of fundraising so far and I hope our donation can go a long way to helping them with new equipment to make the playground an even better environment for pupils to play and develop.”
