Quality award for Exeter develpment

02 June 2021

A development in Exeter has been recognised for quality construction by national industry experts.

Persimmon Homes South West has been recognised for quality at its Ashworth Place development by the national new home warranty provider Premier Guarantees. The monthly award means the  development is now shortlisted for a national excellence award.

Premier Guarantee’s Excellence Awards: Quality Recognition Awards (QRAs) recognise developers every month who consistently deliver quality workmanship and site management.

Quality Recognition Award winners are announced monthly from January to December and presented with a certificate on site.

All winning sites for the year are shortlisted for the annual Excellence Awards with the winner being presented with the prestigious Excellence Awards trophy.

Ryan Lee, construction director for Persimmon Homes South West, said: “Persimmon has undergone a comprehensive review of operations, resulting in the introduction of ‘The Persimmon Way’ – a national framework for construction and customer care quality which is transforming the business.

“This national award acknowledges and celebrates the team at Ashford Place for a whole-hearted commitment towards delivering the very best build quality and customer service. We are proud of the development and everyone who works there.”

Work is currently ongoing on phase two of the development which will see and approximately 265 homes built just five miles from the city centre.

Stacey Harris, sales director for Persimmon Homes South West, said: “Ashworth Place is in  a stunning rural location and benefits from all the amenities of a new town centre including shops, school, businesses and a multi-purpose community building.

“The first phase of the development proved very popular and there is still keen interest in the latest range of two, three and four-bedroom homes, starting from £220,000.”

She added: “Buyers at Ashworth Place can access the Government-backed Help to Buy initiative, meaning they only need a five per cent deposit to secure their dream home.

“Those with an existing property to sell can ask us about our Home Change and Part Exchange schemes, which can significantly reduce the time and money spent in a chain.
