Ribbon cut at Festival Park play area

Families in Easton, near Norwich, gathered for the official opening of a new play area at Festival Park.
The play area at the new development, created by Persimmon Homes Anglia, offers natural wooden climbing frames, slides and a basket swing for primary-aged children plus toddler swings for younger children.
The playground is designed for use by the wider village community, as well as those living on the Persimmon Homes development.
Michelle Baker, Managing Director of Persimmon Homes Anglia, was joined by Sales Director Jorden Knell as she officially cut the ribbon and opened the park, before inviting guests to enjoy a free ice cream to celebrate.
Michelle said: “Persimmon Homes Anglia is a five-star housebuilder and we are proud of the quality new homes we are building here at Festival Park.
“In addition, we are building a stronger community by creating play areas across the development and giving young families a place to play and meet their neighbours.
“We are delighted so many people, of all ages, could join us today, it shows the strength of community spirit that already exists here at Festival Park.”
Holly Littlefield, who lives on Festival Park with her partner and two children, said they were delighted to have the park open.
She said: “We have watched as the park has been built and my daughter asks to come here everyday, we are lucky to have such a great facility so close to our house.”
Persimmon Homes is committed to creating a lasting legacy in the areas in which we are building. Last year Persimmon Homes Anglia invested nearly £2m into public services and infrastructure through developer contributions, while also supporting schools, charities and good causes through our Community Champions charity scheme.
