Royal Wootton Bassett rugby juniors try out new kit
29 May 2015
Royal Wootton Bassett Rugby Club has invested in brand-new training kits for its U13 team, thanks to a donation of £500 from Persimmon Homes Wessex.
The club, which is based at Ballard’s Ash Sports Ground, has enjoyed a tremendous season having finished runners-up in the Wiltshire Cup.
Paul Shimell, head coach for the U13 team, said: “Our brand-new training kits are fantastic and will be a huge help to the club as it will see them through the next four years.
“The sponsorship deal means we don’t need to ask players to help pay for training kit, which is a massive help.”
Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes Wessex, said: “With a number of our developments taking shape across the region, we’re thrilled to be supporting such a great local group like Royal Wootton Bassett Rugby Club.
Rugby has an important role to play in fostering community spirit locally and we look forward to continuing our association with the club and we wish them every success for the future.”
Royal Wootton Bassett Rugby Club was founded in 1971 and prides itself on being a family orientated, all inclusive club that welcomes everybody and encourages involvement.
