Sales team now on site at new homes development
01 September 2021
Homebuyers in County Durham can be among the first to reserve a property now that the sales office at a new housing development has opened its doors.
Our Durham region is welcoming customers to the marketing suite for its new £3.5m development, Bishops Green in Hillside Road, Coundon.
The 37-home development on the two-acre site provides a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes, of which 10 per cent will be affordable. In addition to the new homes, more than £100,000 will be contributed by Persimmon Homes towards enhancing public open spaces in the area, biodiversity and local public art projects.
Andrew Somerville, sales director for Persimmon Homes Durham, said: “Coundon has a long and rich history of coal mining which dates back almost 700 years.
“The village lies east of the A688 road between Bowes and Durham has excellent transport links and is also just a short distance from the busy market town of Bishop Auckland, which has a host of impressive landmarks and a wide range of amenities.
“Across all our developments we are committed to providing a desirable selection of homes for local people at the right price. There is already keen interest in our properties at Bishops Green and with just 37 homes available on this development we are expecting buyers to be keen to pick their favourite plots.”
He added: “Reserving early has the added advantage of allowing customers to personalise their new homes. Once a plot is reserved, customers can start adding their own style and personality to every room with our range of styling options, upgrades and additional fixtures. This is their chance to visualise the perfect living space and create their very own dream home from day one.”
