School’s cash boost for wellbeing room
09 June 2022
A Hull primary school is creating a dedicated wellbeing room for its pupils.
St Thomas More Hull PTFA secured a £1,000 donation from our Community Champions scheme to fund the brand-new space. The room will feature comfortable seating, sensory items, and resources not available in the classrooms.
On behalf of the school’s PTFA, Michelle Robson said: “We are thrilled to be able to support the school and fund a wellbeing room for the pupils.
“The room will be designed as a restful space for one-to-one mentoring and group sessions to aid children’s development. This will enable the school to build and strengthen its approach to wellbeing and mental health.”
Under Persimmon Homes’ Community Champions scheme, the Yorkshire regional business provides support of up to £1,000 to two local charities or good causes, every month.
Scott Waters, managing director for Persimmon Homes Yorkshire, said: “The mental wellbeing of our team is very important to us, so we are delighted to support the school’s work, in what can often be, a difficult and challenging journey.”
We are currently building in Kingswood at Mulberry Gardens and will soon begin construction at Trinity Pastures, off Calvert Lane. In addition, we have recently purchased a parcel of land in Anlaby bringing a further 51 homes to East Riding of Yorkshire.
