Damien Ramm, based at Persimmon Homes East Midlands’ Abbot Walk development in Chatteris, was awarded the Quality Mark in the first round of the National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job awards this summer.
Now he was reached the next level with a Seal of Excellence Award, recognising his commitment to health and safety, quality and leadership.
Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition of its type in the homebuilding industry and a prestigious benchmark for exceptional site managers. Damien has won the Quality Mark for the last two years, and is now a Seal of Excellence winner.
Damien said: “I am delighted to have been named a regional winner this year after seeing the celebrations last year and knowing I could rise to that challenge.
“I am continuously striving to raise standards at Abbott Walk and I am absolutely thrilled that work has been recognised. We take great pride in delivering high-quality new homes for our customers because we know how important it is to get it right.
He continued: “This award not only recognises the work I have done, but also that of the assistant site manager, sub contractors and suppliers that have followed the example I have set to ensure we are building five-star houses in Chatteris.”
He also thanked the directors and contracts managers at Persimmon Homes East Midlands who have helped him drive up standards.
Mark Mellors, Construction Director at Persimmon Homes East Midlands, said: “Damien is driven and passionate, he takes great pride in everything he does and has a natural style of leadership that unites the whole site and ensures they work together to a common goal.
“At Persimmon Homes East Midlands we are committed to building high quality homes people can rely on at a price they can afford and Damien and the team are making that happen.”
