South East offers cash boost to Swale Boxing club at Kemsley Community Centre

A community hall in Kemsley, Swale has received a £1,000 donation for the running of its amateur boxing club, thanks to South East region.
Swale Gloves Amateur Boxing Club received the donation from the region as part of our Community Champions initiative. The funds will enable the club to purchase vital new exercise bikes and equipment for its members.
The boxing club, which has been running for 12 years, runs solely on donations and provides a safe and inclusive environment for people of all ages and backgrounds to improve their physical and mental well-being. The club's dedication to helping members achieve healthy lifestyles and personal goals has made it a valuable asset to the local community.
South East were delighted to attend an evening training session to meet members and were joined by Chairman Mark Fin and Cllr Mike Dendor, Kent County Councillor for Sittingbourne North and Swale Borough Councillor for Kemsley. Cllr Dendor has worked closely with Kemsley Community Hall as a trustee as well as being the treasurer and managing clerk.

Cllr Mike Dendor, County Councillor serving Sittingbourne North added:
“I am very pleased, as a local Councillor and Trustee of Kemsley Community Centre, to have attended a presentation of a cheque from Persimmon to Swale Gloves. The donation will help Swale Gloves, who run their boxing and fitness sessions at the Centre, to continue their outstanding contribution to the local community in giving youngsters a place that they can work off their energy, gain skills, be motivated, learn discipline, whilst also feeling safe."
