The team at South Midlands are celebrating female careers in construction by shining a spotlight on the women in the team who have taken non-traditional career paths, in recognition of International Women’s Day 2024.
Amanda Rogers, Elizabeth Woods and Harriet Jarvis are based in the Sales and Planning teams respectively, working to ensure that sites across the South Midlands region take a customer-first approach and are created to a high-quality specification with the close involvement of the relevant local authorities.
Amanda, Sales Director, said: “I’ve worked with Persimmon for twenty years now and have seen the business evolve in so many ways in this time. I’m proud to have been – and continue to be – a part of that journey, supporting and mentoring some brilliant women in my role as Sales Director.”
Elizabeth, Strategic Land and Planning Manager added: “Throughout my 10 years at Persimmon, I’ve had the opportunity to work on exciting projects, and I have had the ability to make positive environmental, social and economic changes through planning our developments, this is a brilliant part of the role. I hope to continue to set a good example for women in the industry.”
Harriet, Planner, said: “I’m proud of my career journey with Persimmon and my time with the business has already brought me so many opportunities since joining the team during studying for my master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Birmingham.
“I’m really grateful for the support and encouragement given to me from all of the team throughout my career which has included obtaining chartered town planner status from the Royal Town Planning Institute.”
