South Midlands team announces sponsorship of Banbury RUFC

Our South Midlands team has announced their sponsorship of a Banbury-based rugby team, close to their upcoming development at Wykham Park Farm.

The team has supported Banbury RUFC with a £2,000 sponsorship  – raising our profile in the area as we develop our 1,000-home community in the town in partnership with L&Q Estates.

Established in 1925, Banbury RUFC has a range of teams – from adult men’s and women’s, to under 5s – with the goal of making rugby more inclusive for those who want to take part. The club also offers a variety of community programmes; from its mentoring scheme, to walking rugby, to working with the nearby Frank Wise School.

Matt Goode, Head of Community and Director of Rugby Activities at Banbury RUFC said: “It’s great to have the support of the Persimmon team and we’re so pleased to have them as a sponsor for the 2023 – 2024 season. The teams are going from strength to strength, so this is a really exciting time to be involved with the club - and to know we have the backing of local businesses located close to our club is a huge boost to us.”
