South Midlands team gives £1,000 cash boost to Ridge FC Panthers

A football team based in Stourbridge has secured a donation from our South Midlands team to ensure each player looks the part on the pitch.

Ridge FC Panthers received the £1,000 funding boost as part of our Community Champions initiative. The club takes part in fundraising activities throughout the year which have helped to pay for new equipment, kit and training opportunities for the under-14s team. The £1,000 will help to provide new kits, tracksuits and access to a training facility for the winter.

John Kirwan at Ridge FC Panthers, said: “We are so grateful to Persimmon Homes and their kind donation of £1,000 via their Community Champions Fund. The support that Persimmon has given us will allow us to build on our success in 2023, offering the teams the chance to further their personal development, teamwork and athletic ability. The team has overcome a number of challenges recently and are well on their way to success in the new season – support from local businesses such as Persimmon will only help us to further this.”
