South Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind has secured a £5,000 donation from our South Midlands team, helping to raise awareness of its services across the area.
The charity received the funding boost as part of our Community Champions initiative. The donation will go towards raising the profile of the charity in the region as well as support its outreach work.
South Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind is a dedicated local mental health charity which offers active referrals, information, and support to those experiencing poor mental health in the area. The organisation seeks to engage communities across South Warwickshire and Worcestershire, raise awareness of mental health issues and encourage individuals to seek support. Mind fundraises through local events, working in partnership with corporates, schools and businesses, digital campaigns, charity of the year applications, grants and other donations.
Mia Rawlinson, Community Fundraiser at South Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind said: “We are so grateful to Persimmon Homes and their kind donation of £5,000 via their Community Champions Fund. The support that Persimmon has given us will allow for us to continue to work with local partners and community groups to engage in positive conversations, provide coping strategies and promote wellbeing through support, advice and signposting to our services.”
Amanda Rogers, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local community groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them.”
“We’re delighted to be able to offer this £5,000 donation to South Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind who do such important work in and around the region.”
