A Redditch-based carpentry apprentice is celebrating the beginning of his career, starting his training at Heart of Worcestershire College whilst working for our South Midlands team.
Jack Anderson is working to complete his level two qualification at our The View site in Redditch, enabling him to become skilled in his trade.
Jack said: “I’m excited to have started my apprenticeship which will help in understanding how a fast-paced company like Persimmon works. In my first days here I’ve already been out on site and met my colleagues as well as started learning the theoretical background to the trade at college as well. I’m looking forward to seeing where the next few years take me.”
Michelle Dowse at Heart of Worcestershire College said: “We’re incredibly proud of Jack and thrilled to be working with Persimmon Homes. This achievement highlights both the hard work and the importance of apprenticeship programs in preparing students with the skills and experience local employers value. At Heart of Worcestershire College, we’re committed to supporting our apprentices on their journey to rewarding careers, and it’s fantastic to see success in this area.”
Jak Harper, Construction Director at Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said: “At Persimmon, we’re passionate about developing future talent and equipping our apprentices with the practical skills they need to thrive in the working world, as well as ensuring they have the necessary theoretical background from our partnerships with local colleges.
“It’s a delight to work with our apprentices on a daily basis, helping to coach them throughout the early stages of their career and watch them develop their skills.”
