Staff in the pink for charity
25 October 2021

Employees at the Persimmon Anglia head office on Broadland Business Park, Norwich, raised almost £500 in a ‘Wear It Pink’ charity day in aid of Breast Cancer Now.
The regional team took up the dress down Friday challenge in a range of rosy-hued outfits – with assistant architectural technician Toby Wright leading the way in a full pink bodysuit.
Toby, who was the driving force behind the activity, said: “Breast Cancer doesn’t stop for anything. This year around 55,000 women and 370 men in the UK will hear the words ‘it is breast cancer’ and around 11,500 women and 80 men will die from it.
“I’m really pleased with how many colleagues joined in and helped raise funds for this worthwhile cause. We arranged prizes for the best outfits and also organised a few fun challenges to encourage everyone to contribute.”
Managing director Colin Parker added: “While most of our charitable giving is organised through our Community Champions funding scheme, providing monthly donations to good causes in our region, we also encourage staff to support charities close to their own hearts.
“We were delighted to see so many colleagues joining in today, having fun while at the same time raising much-needed funds for this valuable charity.”
Persimmon Anglia makes two donations of up to £1,000 every month through its Community Champions scheme. To find out more and make an application, visit www.persimonhomes.com/charity
