Staying visible with Persimmon
21 January 2011
Children from Tregolls Primary School in Truro received more than they bargained for recently.
Leading housebuilder, Persimmon Homes South West, donated fluorescent arm bands to all of the school’s pupils to help them stay illuminated during the dark winter nights.
The bands - which can wrap around the arms or legs of children - light up when darkness falls to allow children to be seen more clearly on the streets, especially when leaving the school gates.
Nina Hester, sales director for Persimmon Homes South West, commented: “Where possible we try to equip children with items that will allow them to stay safe on the streets, and our arm bands are perfect to wear when travelling both to and from school.
“We hope the children will get a lot of use out of them and that they will help pupils to stay safe throughout the winter months.”
