A Stockton-on-Tees school is set to get its IT back on track thanks to a £1,000 donation from Persimmon Homes Teesside.
Crooksbarn Parents & Friends Association is the parent and teacher association (PTA) and registered charity for Crooksbarn Primary School and applied to the Community Champions scheme.
Katherine Barwick of Crooksbarn Parents & Friends explains: “Our school suffered a great deal of water and electrical damage following Storm Arwen in November last year and left many of our laptops and iPads damaged and unsafe for the children to use.
“We have been attempting to raise the money we need to replace them, but even at the back end of the pandemic this has proved to be very difficult as we’ve not been able to run the type of fundraising events that we have in the past. We are extremely grateful to Persimmon Homes Teesside for stepping in and making this donation, it means we’ll be able to replace the damaged equipment a lot sooner.”
Joan Peart, sales director for Persimmon Homes Teesside, added: “We are delighted to be able to help Crooksbarn Primary School with this donation and hope it will go a long way to replacing their damaged IT equipment.”
