Persimmon Homes apprentices begin advanced craft course at South Lanarkshire College
Three dedicated apprentices from Persimmon Homes have embarked on an Advanced Craft bricklaying course at South Lanarkshire College, enhancing their skills and knowledge in the construction industry. The apprentices, Chantelle Muir and Billie Murray from Ayrshire, and Dale Robertson from Dunblane, were selected due to the exceptional effort and skill they have displayed over the course of their apprenticeship so for.
The advanced course aims to build on the apprentices’ existing skillsets, equipping them with practical expertise and advanced knowledge to excel in the industry. It focuses on developing their professional effectiveness and expanding their capabilities in bricklaying.
William Smith, Regional Apprenticeship Manager at Persimmon Homes, said:

Dale Robertson, Apprentice Bricklayer, said:

“Persimmon’s support has been incredible – they’ve given me the tools and confidence to grow in this trade, and I can’t wait to bring these new skills back to the site."

Persimmon Homes’ apprenticeship programme continues to grow, with 10 new apprentices starting this year. The company is dedicated to supporting its trainees by providing all the tools and equipment required for their roles, ensuring that financial barriers don’t stand in the way of their success.
