THE JOSHUA TREE SECURES PERSIMMON DONATION
14 June 2021
The Joshua Tree, a charity supporting families following a childhood cancer diagnosis, has been given a £1,000 boost by one of the country’s leading housebuilders.
The donation will pay for on average 20 family counselling and support sessions and has been made by Persimmon Homes North West through its Building Futures campaign.
Pippa Watson-Peck, fundraising manager at The Joshua Tree, said: “We work to support and improve the emotional well-being and mental health of all family members affected by a childhood cancer diagnosis in the North West of England and Wales, for as long as they need it.
“Like many organisations and charities, The Joshua Tree has been severely impacted by Covid-19 and left with a significant income deficit.
“This wonderful donation from Persimmon Homes will enable us to provide on average 20 family counselling and support sessions to enhance emotional well-being.”
