Thousands register interest in just 61 new homes in Blandford St Mary.
So far, more than 2,700 people have registered their interest in the site through the Persimmon Homes website.
Graeme Cole, Head of Sales at Persimmon Homes South Coast, said: “This development is proving very popular, even before we have launched it; but we are not surprised. There is a real need for new homes in this area, especially as there are no other new builds in this village location. We are also appealing to a wide cross-section of buyers, with nine house styles being built at the development. We believe its location adds to the popularity, being less than half an hour's drive away from the larger towns of Poole, Bournemouth, Salisbury and Dorchester as well as bringing together the village way of life and good local amenities.”
Persimmon Homes is also contributing towards improvements in the local area, including the community hall, education facilities and open spaces as well as providing 18 affordable housing units. Once Fair Mile Rise is launched, people will be able to buy off-plan, before a single brick has even been laid. The development will include two, three and four bedroom homes.
Graeme added: “Buying off-plan means purchasers can secure their preferred property and location within the development. In addition, reserving at this stage means customers can truly personalise their home by choosing from a range of ‘Finishing Touches’ fixtures and fittings items such as kitchen units, appliances, waterfall showers, wall tiles and flooring options. It is hoped a three-bedroom Hatfield show home will be launched in July with the first home owners completing in July also.
