Triple Persimmon owner reveals her passion with interiors

For the slightly obsessed in stunning interiors, Persimmon Homes’ latest ambassador is a ‘must’ to watch.
Jill Leworthy set up her @the_maple_home Instagram account to document her passion for interior design, revealing her journey as she transformed her Persimmon Hatfield style house into a beautiful home.
With almost 11,000 followers, Jill still loves to share her design experience and is also a Persimmon fan, with her current property, at Sycamore Gardens in Castleford, being her third home from the major housebuilder.
“I am a three-times Persimmon Homes owner, but my current house is the one I have chosen to share with the world,” said Jill.
“I mostly get my design inspiration from other home interiors Instagram pages and I still love visiting show homes. I like to pick out the styles that would work for my house, as well as my family - after all, I have two children and dog!
“My love is scrolling through Instagram for new design inspiration and I particularly like finding small designers who I can work with to create unique accessories.
“I was delighted to work with Lulu Cushions who made me a collection of honeycombed textured cushions and a bolster in silver with grey piped edges, for my bedroom. She even named the range Jilly – after me! I was so flattered.
“Traci Crawford Designs created me three amazing textured abstract art canvases that complemented my bedroom’s hypnotising liquid marble effect wallpaper from I love wallpaper. Traci captured the essence of the wallpaper’s grey and gold hues in equally mesmerising works of art. I love these pieces but, in my ever-changing home, I have now moved them to my lounge where I can admire them even more.”
One of Jill’s proudest design creation was the transformation of her dining room wall from a simple finish to a decorative feature adding character to the room.
Jill added: “I felt the dining room needed a feature statement and felt a panelled wall would create this desired effect. With the help of my husband we watched many YouTube videos and did all the work ourselves.
“We painted the wood in Ammonite by Farrow & Ball and are delighted with the finish.
“I feel the panelled wall has really added depth to the room adding an architectural stylish finish. It was hard work but defiantly worth it.” So, what can we expect next?
“The hallway and landing are my next projects. Maybe panelling, or new bannister or even a family gallery wall, I’ve not decided – you will have to wait and see.”
