15 November 2022

An organisation which provides support for children with emotional, social, behavioural and mental health difficulties has secured a donation from West Midlands region.
The Child Psychology Service CIC - which will soon be opening its new clinic in Bloxwich - has secured the funding from West Midlands. Established in 2011, The Child Psychology Service provides cost-effective psychological services to children and their families or with the people who care for them (including parents, carers, teachers, social workers and health visitors.
Dr Amber Elliott, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Director at The Child Psychology Service, said: “We are so grateful to Persimmon Homes and their kind donation of £1,000 via their Community Champions Fund. The money will go towards refurbishing our new Bloxwich premises, allowing the children that visit us to have a safe, calm environment in which to work with our therapists, hopefully improving their lives and providing a solid foundation on which to build their futures.
“We still have a long way to go as we need to raise £15,000 for the works required to make the premises suitable, as well as furnish the space and buy sensory equipment for the children to use. The donation from Persimmon’s Community Champions fund has helped us get off the starting blocks and will make a real difference to so many children’s futures.”
David Greengrass, Sales Director at West Midlands, said: “The work undertaken by The Child Psychology Service has helped many families since its inception in 2011 which was recognised as Outstanding in their recent Ofsted report where they were also commended for offering Outstanding Overall Effectiveness, Outcomes, Quality of Service and Leadership and Management. I am delighted we have been able to help them with their fundraising endeavours towards the refurbishment of their clinic in Bloxwich.”
