West Midlands’ quiz night raises £2,500 for Down Syndrome charity
24 October 2024

Colleagues in our Telford team took part in a quiz night to raise much needed funds for PADS (Positive about Down Syndrome), donating a total of £2,500 to the charity.
The team at West Midlands organised a quiz night for the team and their families and friends, with a range of prizes for the winning teams available. Contractors supplied cash prizes as well as Fortnum and Mason hampers, dining and experience vouchers, technology gifts and bottles of fizz.
Organised by Kate Mackenzie, Engineering Manager and Tracey Hudson, Technical & Commercial Administrator, the evening allowed the team to get together and test their knowledge to support a great cause and win some prizes in the process.
Kate and Tracey said: “We were so pleased with the turnout for the quiz and would like to thank our contractors for the kind prize donations. It’s great to know that the funds we’ve managed to raise will go some way to supporting PADS in the important work they do for families.”
Daniel Hassall, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: “What we do is about so much more than building quality homes – we’re also committed to supporting charities and helping our staff to do more in their communities.
“It was great to get the team together to raise these funds for PADS, which help families with children who live with Downs Syndrome feel supported through parenthood, as well as offer the necessary training to nursing and healthcare staff.”
