West Midlands team offers £2,000 cash boost to Lichfield Festival
17 July 2024
An annual cultural event in Lichfield has received a £2,000 donation from our West Midlands team as part of our Community Champions initiative.
Lichfield Festival provides inspiring multi-arts experiences, cultivating creativity through performance and participation. The annual summer festival takes place in July and spans 11 days, with over 65 arts events seen by over 30,000 people.
A melting pot of world-class entertainment and creativity, this summer’s Festival mixes music of all kinds, from folk to classical, jazz to gospel, with theatre, literary, community and family events. Our donation will help to increase the Festival’s outreach to young people in the area, allowing them to learn more about music and culture from across the world.
Caroline King, Head of Development at Lichfield Festival, said “We are hugely grateful to Persimmon Homes West Midlands for supporting Lichfield Festival. Their support will help deliver the Lichfield Festival for the enjoyment of everyone in the community.”
Daniel Hassall, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in and doing this in the ways that have the most positive impact.
“It’s a delight to be able to offer this donation to Lichfield Festival, allowing such a key cultural event in the West Midlands to have a further positive impact on people in the city and beyond.”
