Work starts on 220 new houses in Brackla
04 July 2017
Building work has started on 220 new houses in Brackla, near Bridgend in South Wales.
We’re building the two, three and four bed homes at our Oakwood View development off Derwen View, opposite the Princess of Wales Hospital. Diggers are currently on site putting in the roads and sewers which will serve the site.
The first of the new homes are now being sold off-plan from Persimmon’s Dol Yr Ysgol development nearby – and already more than half a dozen have been snapped up by eager house-hunters.
Sharon Robinson, sales director at Persimmon Homes West Wales, said: “We’re delighted to start work on our new Oakwood View development in Brackla. Demand is so high in this area for good quality, affordable homes that we’ve decided to release the first properties for sale straight away before we even have a marketing suite on site.
“We’ve been able to show people the plans for the development as well as the finished properties at Dol Yr Ysgol and consequently seven homes have already been sold. There are some fantastic properties currently available, including detached and semi-detached three bed options, as well as four beds.
“We’re expecting high interest from a wide variety of people, including first time buyers, upsizers and professionals working in Cardiff and Swansea.”
Oakwood Views is just a couple of miles from the M4 and there are plenty of sports facilities nearby, including a rugby and football pitch, basketball court, skate park, children’s play parks and six outdoor fitness stations.
