Darwen house hunters have been invited to snap up their pick of the plots as the first properties are released for sale at a new homes development in the town.

Persimmon Homes will launch the eagerly-awaited Spring Meadows site on Friday 4th December and appointments are now being taken from prospective purchasers.

Sales and marketing director Diane Finch said: “As expected, there has been significant early interest in this development, as Darwen is such a popular market town. Already more than 350 people have signed up to know when these first properties go on sale.

Spring Meadows will deliver 168 new homes, with prices starting at £175,000 for a three bedroom house.

In addition to housing, the development is bringing around £1.8million of investment in the community with Persimmon making contributions towards local primary school and highways improvements.
