Persimmon Homes and Taylor Wimpey (TW) have marked the start of work on two new developments that will provide a range of new homes and community facilities to buyers in County Durham and Teesside
Persimmon and TW are working together to deliver a total of 1,235 homes at sites in Darlington and Stockton-on-Tees. The developments will also bring a range of additional benefits for the local area through on-site facilities and planning contributions of more than £10.3m.
Sean Taylor, managing director for Persimmon Homes Teesside added: “It is great to see these important, long-awaited developments getting underway, providing much-needed quality homes for the local community. This project is being delivered by a strong partnership between Persimmon and TW, working together to offer an excellent choice of homes suitable for first time buyers and families alike.
“In addition to the housing developments, we are making a significant investment in delivering improvements to the local highway infrastructure which involves us working closely with Stockton Borough Council Highways, which will also bring significant benefits to the region.”
Persimmon Homes’ Harebell Meadows development is at Yarm Back Lane, Stockton-on-Tees with Coatham Vale at Beaumont Hill, Darlington.
