West Midlands team offers cash boost to Shropshire community charity

A community charity based in Shrewsbury has received a £1,000 donation to help those affected with the cost of living crisis, thanks to our West Midlands team.

Community Resource received the donation from us as part of our Community Champions initiative. The funds will be used to help individuals in Shropshire affected by the cost of living crisis, assisting them with bills and energy saving advice.

The charity is committed to making life better for people and communities facing challenges in Shropshire, Telford and the Wrekin. The charity works across three areas: wellbeing and care, community and support, and funding and advice – to improve the lives of people in the community.

“The cost of living crisis has massively affected members of our community, who may have had to choose between heating and eating over Christmas and into the New Year. The additional funds will help us to assist more people throughout this difficult time and we couldn’t be more grateful.”

David Greengrass, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. The past year has been incredibly tough on so many – and we’re committed to lending a hand to community groups and charities in the vital work that they do.

“It’s a delight to be able to offer this donation to Community Resource and we hope it makes a small difference to the lives of those who benefit from their services.”
