Our South Coast secures planning for new homes at Berewood

Our South Coast region has secured planning permission for a new development at Berewood, Hampshire, marking another step forward in the delivery of the wider vision for a new community just outside Waterlooville.

We acquired the site from Grainger last year and having secured planning permission, will now deliver 115 new homes as part of the wider Berewood development. This new phase will benefit from the significant investment and amenities being delivered on site including two schools, allotments, local centre and a nature reserve.

The development will help deliver much needed homes in this part of Hampshire, offering a mixture of starter homes and larger family housing. In addition to this, 37 affordable homes will also be built helping to meet wider housing needs.

The site will come forward as Persimmon’s Charles Church brand and work is already underway to allow residents the chance to move in early next year.

Ian Jones, Managing Director for Persimmon Homes South Coast said “We are delighted to have secured planning permission for this new development at Berewood. This is an exciting opportunity to play our part in delivering a thriving new community in this part of Hampshire, building on the strong vision established for the site by Grainger.

“Our plans will provide a range of high-quality homes to meet local demand, offering an attractive combination of starter homes and larger family housing that we know is so integral. We are very excited to see the first residents move in early next year.”
