From Backbridge Farm, it's just a short stroll over the river to the bustling town centre. There you'll find historical gems including the market cross and the Abbey, alongside a good selection of independent boutiques, shops and cafes. There a number of excellent pubs and restaurants in the town centre too, including the famous Old Bell. When it comes to day-to-day essentials Malmesbury is well-equipped, with two Co-op Foods, an Aldi and Waitrose, along with a primary care centre, dentists, optician and pharmacy.

Beautiful surroundings

Lovers of the outdoors will find plenty to do whilst living at Backbridge Farm. The development is set next to the River Avon, which winds around the town centre and past the Abbey, providing a peaceful walk. The elegant Abbey House Gardens are well worth a visit, comprising 5 acres of formal gardens, lawns and riverside glades. Malmesbury is located just off the A429, which leads north to Cirencester and south to Chippenham. It's also 6.6 miles from junction 17 of the M4 – from there, you can travel east to reach Swindon in around 20 minutes, or west to reach Bristol city centre in half an hour. The nearest train station is a 15-minute drive away in Kemble, or a 20-minute drive away is Chippenham train station, which operates frequent services to Bristol and London.
