Kirkintilloch town centre has a wide range of shops and services, and is the main shopping centre for the local catchment area. The popular shopping areas in the town are Townhead, the Kirkintillock Arcade and the Regent Centre at Cowgate. If you're after more choice of shops, attractions and restaurants, Kirkintilloch is just 9 miles from the very lively city of Glasgow.

The local Woodhead Park is a mile from the development and is a fantastic place to enjoy a family walk or picnic. There's a good range of local schools in the area, including Lairdsland Primary and Holy Family Primary, both within a mile of Kelvin Gait. For secondary school pupils, Lenzie Academy and St Ninians High are within a mile of the development, with Lenzie Academy achieving some of the best exam results in the country.
The Kelvin Gait development is situated on the M80 corridor, making it ideal for commuters. There's also a regular bus service into Glasgow city centre. Lenzie train station is just one mile from Kelvin Gait, connecting you to a range of towns and cities, including East Kilbride, Stirling and Edinburgh. For journeys further afield Glasgow airport is just 17.7 miles from the development.
