Anglia helps bring community together in Gorleston

Anglia region has donated £1,000 to help stage the 25th annual Gorleston Clifftop Festival.
Persimmon Homes Anglia has awarded a grant of £1,000 from our Community Champions scheme, which is designed to create a lasting legacy in the areas in which we are building.
The funding will support the volunteer organisers to host the free festival and bring the community together over the weekend of August 3 and 4.
This year they are introducing a new silent disco feature to run alongside the main stage acts, the acoustic stage, dance shows, fairground rides, charity stalls and the popular dog show, all rounded off with a stunning firework finale.
Cllr Emma Flaxman-Taylor, Great Yarmouth Borough Council member for Gorleston Ward and Cabinet Member for Housing, Health and Communities, is part of the organising committee and accepted the cheque from Jorden Knell, Sales Director for Persimmon Homes Anglia.
She said: “It is really great to be here receiving this money from Persimmon Homes Anglia on behalf of the committee. We would like to thank them for their generosity and the help they have given us in bringing our plans forward.”
Jorden Knell added: “The festival is renowned for bringing the whole community together and the volunteers work tirelessly to ensure they offer something for all ages.
“Events like this help cement the community spirit that exists here in Anglia and we are honoured to play a part in making that happen.”
The region are currently completing work on Phase 5 of the 850-home Bluebell Meadow development at nearby Bradwell, offering homes ranging in size from one-bedroom starter homes to four-bedroom family homes.
