Community cash for Northampton groups
15 March 2022

Two deserving Northampton-based groups have received generous cash donations from Persimmon Midlands.
NARA The Breathing Charity and Northamptonshire Sport were both selected by the regional team the Community Champions initiative which donates up to £1,000 to two good causes each month.
Northamptonshire Sport will use their £1,000 funding to purchase items of equipment to enable people across the county to get active.
Strategy development officer for Northamptonshire Sport, Graeme Wilson, discussed how the donation from Persimmon will allow them to give something back to the community.
He said: “We want people from all areas to be able to get active together, creating community cohesion across Northamptonshire.
“COVID has had a massive impact on both the mental and physical wellbeing of people and we would like to thank Persimmon Homes for helping us tackle this.”

The £1,000 donation will help the charity to continue providing adequate support for those in need.
Persimmon Midlands sales director Claire Dearsley said: “Both of this month’s winners make a positive impact on the community and we are honoured to be able to offer our support.”
