Community cash for Norwich good causes
19 July 2021
Two Norwich groups have been selected to receive community funding from Anglia.
The housebuilder has donated £1,000 each to Fresh Start Futures and Dawn’s New Horizon through its Community Champions scheme.
Anglia sales director Michelle Baker said: “Supporting grassroots charities and organisations in the areas where we are building enables us to help those who are improving the lives of local people.”
Dawn’s New Horizon offers a range of wellbeing, advice and information services for victims of domestic abuse. Practical support includes a 24-hour helpline, clothing, household items, food parcels or toiletries, and Persimmon’s donation will help to fund counselling and emergency accommodation for those in need. Fresh Start Futures run workshops for ex-offenders and currently serving offenders to rehabilitate and reduce the risk of re-offending. The funding from Anglia will help to provide learning resources and completion certificates for those attending the workshops.
