East Devon junior footballers get new kit boost from South West
22 September 2022

Youngsters at a junior football club in East Devon will be looking sharp for the new season after receiving a grant for new kit from South West region.
Cranbrook United Under 9s have hit the back of the net with £1,000 from the South West region.
The funding comes as part of our Community Champions initiative, which sees 64 good causes across Britain awarded up to £1,000 every month.
We have a long-standing presence in Cranbrook, establishing a great new community a few miles east from Exeter with an array of good amenities, including schools, shops, and transport links.
We are currently on phase six of the development, with just two plots remaining on the Galileo site.
Commenting on the donation, Wayne Taylor, coach of Cranbrook U9s, said:
“We are extremely grateful to Persimmon Homes for this generous donation.
“The children are over the moon and we’re delighted Persimmon have provided this support given they’ve had such a positive impact bringing all these young players together at the Cranbrook development.
“We have a squad full of enthusiastic young players and this will go towards funding new, Persimmon-sponsored match kit for all the players.
“The players are thrilled, and on behalf of Cranbrook, I want to say thank you to Persimmon South West for the welcome support.”
Stacey Harris, sales director at Persimmon South West, said:
“We are delighted to be able to support Cranbrook United Under 9s.
“As a local business we are very proud of our significant presence in Cranbrook, delivering homes and jobs for local people, and supporting key community initiatives and groups.
“Cranbrook United show a strong commitment to inclusivity and the development of their children, and I am sure some new kit for the coming season will provide a big boost for their young players.”
