First time buyers find dream home at Workington development

A young couple from Cumbria say they are ‘completely in love’ with their new Persimmon home at Solway View in Workington.
Sophie Nutter, 23 and Olivia Rayson, 21, are both first-time buyers and were inspired by the layout that their new Rufford style home delivered.
The Rufford is a thoughtfully designed three-bedroom house which features a bright and modern open plan kitchen/dining room. Plus, there is an en-suite to the main bedroom as well as a family bathroom.
Sophie, who is a recreational assistant at a local leisure centre, said: “We knew a lot of people on the estate and originally were looking at a semi-detached house but, when we saw that there was a detached Rufford, we were sold.
“The integral garage was an important feature for us as it made the house so much wider with a larger upstairs and a bigger garden.”
As part of the sale, the couple were able to select £8,000 of upgrades, which they used to help tailor the house to suit their own tastes.
“This made the house much more appealing for us as we were able to have our preferred tiles and kitchen as well as adding an outdoor tap and built-in wardrobes,” said Sophie. “The upgraded tiles in the en-suite definitely make it our favourite room.”
Diane Finch, sales director for Persimmon Lancashire said: “It’s always rewarding to see first-time buyers taking the leap onto the property ladder with us. The Rufford home is a very popular house type at this particular development and is a perfect home for both first-time buyers and growing families alike.
“We wish Sophie and Olivia all the best in their new home and hope that they feel right at home here at Solway View.”
Solway View in Workington offers an excellent range of two, three and four-bedroom homes with Rufford style detached houses available from £185,000 or semi-detached from £170,000. For more information about the development, visit https://www.persimmonhomes.com/new-homes/lancashire/solway-view
