Forest school funding boost
26 July 2021

A primary school in Knutsford which has set up its own forest school has received a donation towards outdoor equipment.
Zoe Hargreaves from the Friends of Mobberley, the PTA of the Church Lane-based school, successfully applied for Community Champions funding and was awarded £1,000.
The school has been actively fundraising for its new facility, which will be located in a wooded section of the school field, providing its 200 pupils with a dedicated space to learn through hands-on experiences in a natural woodland environment.
Zoe said: “As a PTA we work to raise vital funds to benefit our pupils, holding a variety of events throughout the year including quiz nights and summer and winter fairs. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our fundraising has been limited.
“But thanks to this amazing donation from Persimmon Homes, we have been able to get started on setting up our own Forest School and buy some outdoor equipment. Thank you Persimmon, it is hugely appreciated.”
