Get help to buy your first home at Harbour Village
03 December 2014
Despite gloomy national headlines to the contrary, first time buyers in Lancashire are getting a helping hand onto the property ladder, thanks to Persimmon Homes.
The region reports increased levels of interest at its Harbour Village development in Fleetwood, particularly from young professionals looking to buy their first home.
Diane Finch, sales and marketing director, said: “We meet lots of people dreaming of owning their first home, and often they think it is completely out of reach – partly because the national media often paint a gloomy picture of the housing market based on what’s happening in the south.
That is why Help to Buy is such a shot in the arm for buyers. It really does bring home ownership within the grasp of many more people, especially in this region.
Here at Harbour Village we have practical two bedroom starter homes from just £109,995 which, with Help to Buy, would only need a deposit of £5,500. For that you are getting a brand new house with its own garden and parking for two cars – perfect for first time buyers or downsizers who, we know, will be amazed by how much they can get for their money.”
Help to Buy is the national scheme where buyers raise their five per cent deposit and a mortgage for up to 75 per cent, with the Government providing an equity loan for the remainder which is interest and repayment free for five years.
Diane added: “Harbour Village is a lovely development on the edge of the Wyre estuary, with breath-taking views across the water, taking in boats and an array of wildlife.
As well as the properties to suit first time buyers, there are three and four bedroom family homes in a variety of designs. We have a brand new ‘Clandon’ style showhome open, so why not come and have a look around?
The showhome is a three bedroom semi-detached property with a spacious dining kitchen, living room with patio doors to the rear garden, an en suite to the master bedroom and a single garage.
Harbour Village is minutes away from the Freeport Retail Outlet, and ideally situated for key amenities with both Cleveleys and Blackpool town centres within easy reach by bus or tram. The M55 motorway is 20 minutes away from the development, with links to the M6 and M61.
