Green light given for 19 further homes at Worcester community
16 May 2023

Approval has been granted by Wychavon District Council for the creation of 19 new homes at our Whittington Walk development on the edge of Worcester.
The new homes will make up part of the third phase of the wider Whittington Walk scheme, which - upon completion - will bring up to 300 homes to the city. The wider scheme will provide a mix of two to four-bedroom properties, and is carefully planned to deliver a sustainable community.
Of the 19 homes, five will be transferred to a housing association partner for social rent, with two of the homes available through the Government-backed First Homes initiative, allowing local buyers to purchase a home at Whittington Walk at a 30% discount.
Russell Griffin, Managing Director at South Midlands said: “We’re delighted to have received approval for 19 further homes at Whittington Walk and I want to thank Wychavon District Council for their support. Not only will this phase deliver 19 quality new homes, it will also create local jobs as part of the construction, generating our investment in the local economy.
“We’re committed to creating vibrant, successful communities and supporting more local families in getting their dream homes. We’ll continue to work in partnership with the Council and other stakeholders to ensure our developments deliver real benefits for the communities they are based in.”
