The final details for Suffolk’s high-quality new scheme in Rendlesham have been given the green light by East Suffolk Council.
75 new homes will be delivered as part of the plans in a beautiful, contemporary design on the edge of Rendlesham. This development will also comprise a woodland walk, street trees, a sustainable drainage system incorporating a pond and a community orchard.
As well as offering an attractive mix of new 1 to 5 bedroom homes for private sale, the scheme will also make a mixture of different housing types available through a housing association partner. This includes 12 homes for below market rent, 7 for discounted market sale and 6 for shared ownership.
The new development will see over £800,000 spent on community infrastructure. New play facilities will be provided and almost £100,000 will be invested into local secondary schools and highways upgrades. A new bus stop will also be installed.
Ian Hamilton, Managing Director of Suffolk said:
“Our new development at Rendlesham combines a green and attractive design with the delivery of highly sought after family housing in East Suffolk.
“As well as providing 75 new homes, there will be a range of facilities for new residents and the existing community to enjoy including a new play area, woodland walk and community orchard. In addition to these benefits, we will also be investing almost £100,000 into local schools and transport upgrades.”
Persimmon Homes Suffolk is also proud of its wider contribution to the local area and local economy. It is five star housebuilder, the highest ranking available for quality and last year supported almost 3,500 jobs. Through its contributions it has also invested in excess £3.5m into health services, local schools, transport upgrades and community infrastructure in Suffolk.
