Home buyers surgery at flagship development

24 June 2012

A flagship housing development in Wolverhampton hosted a “home buyers’ surgery” event

Specialist advice was on offer to anyone trapped in their existing home or unable to get on the first rung of the property ladder.

Persimmon Homes held the event at the marketing suite of their Akron Gate site, on Stafford Road, on Saturday, February 4.

Before the event, Claire Jarvis, sales director of Persimmon Homes West Midlands, explained: “We know there are a lot of people who are desperate to move house, but many are unsure how to buy their first property or feel they are trapped in their current home.

“We are bringing together independent financial advisors, a rental specialist and our sales team to offer practical solutions and advice to anyone who needs help to get moving.

“For example, we know of people who are trapped in negative equity, or who want to trade up – or even downsize – but are struggling to sell their existing home.

“Our experts can advise on part exchange schemes, how to rent out your current house while you buy a new home and, of course, the incentives available to those who are looking for their very first property.

FirstBuy is the government equity loan scheme which aims to help first time buyers with smaller mortgage deposits. We at Persimmon were awarded the largest FirstBuy allocation of any housebuilder, meaning we have a wide choice available to buyers at our West Midlands locations.

“Meanwhile, Persimmon part exchange schemes enable buyers to use our expertise to sell their existing house, saving time and money. And in some cases, we are even able to buy their current property ourselves, making it even easier to get the keys to their new home.”

Claire added: “Visitors can also find out about the homes available across town at our Abbot’s Field development, on Ettingshall Road. This Bilston site offers a range of two, three and four bedroom family houses.”

Boasting a stunning range of homes – from two bedroom apartments to four bedroom family houses – Akron Gate is perfectly located within easy reach of Wolverhampton city centre and the motorway network.
