Last chance to buy at popular Barnsley development
18 March 2021
House hunters considering a new home in Wilthorpe have been urged to act fast, or risk missing out.
The final collection of homes at Oakland Gardens have been released for sale, bringing the popular Persimmon Homes development towards a close.
The Wilthorpe development, just over a mile from Barnsley town centre, is made up of more than 325 properties, and has 21 homes remaining.
Alastair Hart, sales director for Persimmon Homes South Yorkshire, said: “After more than four years of building in Wilthorpe, Oaklands Gardens has always been popular with people looking for good schools and excellent commuter links, and we have certainly experienced consistent interest from families for our homes here.
“Finishing at a site always brings mixed feelings for us. Over the lifetime of the development, we have become part of the local community and shared in the joy of buyers as they collect the keys of their new homes.
“We have a small collection of two and three-bedroom homes left. When we finally leave, we will have built more than 325 homes but welcomed many more customers to our charming development.”
The Wilthorpe development features many open spaces and was designed to retain the existing Redbrook, with a comprehensive biodiversity plan in place to help enhance and encourage wildlife expansion for the enjoyment and benefit of future generations.
Alastair added: “Although we near the end of our time in Wilthorpe we remain committed to the Barnsley area with further homes at our Hillies View development in Wombwell as well as potential land opportunities for new sites in the future.”
