Midlands team opens playground in Cheddington

Our Midlands team is celebrating a milestone at its community in Cheddington following the opening of a playground funded by us, marking the occasion with a visit from Cheddington Parish Council.

An investment into the surrounding areas as part of our Orchard Manor development, the playground will allow local children to make the most of the outdoors as well as develop their interpersonal skills, physical activity and enhance their playtime.

Other commitments to the local community made by Persimmon Homes as part of the development include over £669,000 towards education, £330,000 towards sport and leisure facilities and £50,000 towards pedestrian and cycle routes. The opening of the playground was marked by a visit from Cheddington Parish Council and pupils from Cheddington School.

Cllr Christine Fee, Chair of Cheddington Parish Council, said "Cheddington Parish Council is thrilled that with the S106 funding from Charles Church, it has been able to provide the children of Cheddington with a new, fun, innovative and safe playground area. The refurbishment scheme incorporated an all-inclusive aspect to both the play equipment and the new seating, so The Green is now, more than ever, a community area for all family members to enjoy.”
