More Houses Imminent At Liskeard Development
22 February 2017
Almost 100 new houses are soon to be released onto the market in Liskeard as a leading housebuilder pushes on with its development in the town.
Persimmon Homes Cornwall has been granted planning permission for a further 99 properties at its popular Trevethan Meadows development in Callington Road.
Persimmon has already built 122 houses at the development and is now gearing up to begin work on phase 3 of the project, with work scheduled to start in the coming weeks.
The first of the houses will be released onto the market immediately and will be available to purchase off-plan.
Included in this phase will be a selection of two-bedroom homes, as well as three and four beds.
Jane Cartwright, Field Sales Manager at Persimmon Homes Cornwall, said: “We’re delighted to be pushing ahead with this third phase at Trevethan Meadows. This has been a very successful development for us and we know that the demand is there for good quality, affordable homes in Liskeard. The development is in a fantastic location, a five minute drive from Liskeard town centre and a bus ride from Plymouth. House hunters will need to be quick to secure their preferred plots at the development.”
Buying off-plan has many advantages including being able to personalise the property by selecting things like floor tiles, wall tiles and kitchen units, added Jane.
The popular Government-backed Help to Buy scheme is available at Trevethan. Under the initiative, the Government provides an equity loan of 20 per cent and the buyers produce a deposit of five per cent, leaving a 75 per cent mortgage.
The development was formerly marketed as Dickens Reach but changed to Trevethan Meadows in 2015 after consultation with the local community and Liskeard Town Council.
