A successful handover of affordable homes has taken place at the Hampton Woods development in Peterborough, as Persimmon Homes East Midlands formally transferred a number of high-quality new properties to Cross Keys Homes.

Cross Keys Homes’ Assistant Director of Development, Nigel Lomax, and Development Manager, Jack Bass, were welcomed to the site by Persimmon Homes’s Deputy Managing Director, Michelle Jeffrey, to officially complete the handover. The event marks a significant step in the ongoing commitment by both organisations to provide much-needed quality built new homes in Peterborough.

Also in attendance at the handover was Cllr John Howard, ward member for Hargate & Hempsted, to view the new properties. Cllr Howard was pleased to learn more about the different affordable homes' options offered at Hampton Woods.

The properties are part of Persimmon Homes’s wider development at Hampton Woods, a growing community designed to meet the diverse housing needs of local residents. Persimmon Homes East Midlands, a 5-star homebuilder, remains focused on delivering well-designed, high-quality homes for local people.

Michelle Jeffrey commented:

“We are delighted to work closely with Cross Keys Homes to bring affordable, energy-efficient housing to Peterborough. This handover is part of our commitment to support communities and provide homes that meet a wide range of needs.”

Cross Keys Homes’ Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, added:

“We are delighted to have completed the first six affordable homes on this site and look forward to working with Persimmon Homes East Midlands over the next few years as we receive more than 60 affordable homes in total. These new homes will provide a mixture of affordable rented and shared ownership homes helping to meet local housing needs while supporting a thriving community.”

Cllr John Howard, ward member for Hargate and Hempsted said:

“I was delighted to visit Hampton Woods and meet key representatives from Persimmon and Cross Keys. It was good to hear Persimmon’s commitment to providing an affordable homes option and hear Cross Keys desire to deliver this for the Hampton Woods development.”

Persimmon Homes East Midlands continues to invest in the communities it builds in, working with housing associations and local authorities to ensure a lasting and positive legacy for residents across the East Midlands.
