New homes exceed expectations in Barry

14 October 2013

One of the leading Welsh housebuilders has opened its latest development in Barry and is inviting local people to an exclusive launch weekend at the new site on Saturday (21 September) and Sunday (22 September).

Staff at the new Hedgerows development, built on former farming land on Whitewell Road, are urging as many people as possible to attend the event and the unveiling of the brand new on-site showhome which will be open to the public for the very first time.

As well as a free glass of bubbly and refreshments, those attending the launch weekend will have the opportunity to learn some modern interior design tips as the showhome has been decorated to the highest standards by industry experts, and there will also be financial professionals on-hand throughout the day to give advice on mortgages and buying schemes.

Interest in properties at The Hedgerows has already exceeded expectations, with six homes sold since it opened two weeks ago, and many customers asking about the various schemes and incentives that could help them move into their new home more easily.

Jayne Greenslade, sales manager at Persimmon Homes East Wales, said: “The stunning new Hedgerows development is located in the historic coastal town of Barry in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan and has so far proved extremely popular with local house hunters and we’re delighted with the initial flurry of buyers on this site.

“There are one hundred and forty one properties on the development ranging from two and three bedroom homes, ideal for first buyers, to four bedroom detached homes for people who want to move to the second or third rung of the property ladder.

“We’re extremely proud of the high standards of homes we have to offer in Barry and are very much looking forward to opening our stunning new show home to the public at the end of September – we look forward to seeing you there.”

Persimmon Homes have launched a brand new scheme to help homeowners in Wales - it's called Help You Buy and is available until the end of 2013. The scheme will assist homeowners who cannot afford a large deposit get a mortgage at an affordable interest rate.
